Date palms and fruit trees growing in a desert wadi or dry riverbed that has been carved into the Arabian desert by centuries of occasional and rare flash floods. You may not normally see the Canyon-like structure from a distance, until you arrive on the scene. It is not uncommon to find water in a Wadi and actual cultivation taking place. Many of course, are just wild and popular picnic spots. This is a natural Wadi with date palms growing wild in the desert. It is however obvious that some cultivation is going on.
